Design any screen layout in minutes

A layout is one designed screen, built block by block on a drag-and-drop canvas. Start from one of 93 templates or a blank canvas, and the same layout runs on your TV, tablet, and browser players without a rebuild.

What is a layout in CloudyFy TV?

A layout is one designed screen composition: a canvas of blocks, positioned exactly where you want them, that a device plays back pixel for pixel. Each block is a single piece of content (a video, an image, a headline, a live rate feed) and you place, resize, and layer as many as the screen needs. A design template is a starting point from CloudyFy TV’s catalog; a saved layout is your own finished design, ready to reuse across as many screens as you assign it to.

93layout templates in the catalog to start from
36real block types available in the builder canvas: video, image, background image, PDF, GIF, slider, playlist, rich text, title, logo, HTML block, background music, clock, date, weather, YouTube, Google Slides, rate board, token queue, ticker, donor wall, event, popup, menu board, and splits, among others

You are not limited to one fixed frame. Split a layout into regions with split_x and split_y blocks (a menu on the left, a video loop on the right, a ticker along the bottom), stack blocks in layers, and switch a layout between landscape and portrait without redrawing it from scratch.

  • Snap-to-grid placement, layered blocks, and full undo and redo while you design
  • Landscape and portrait orientation variants of the same layout

How does the layout builder work?

You build a layout in four steps, and every step happens in the same browser canvas with a live preview, no separate design tool.

  1. Start from a template or a blank canvas

Pick one of 93 starter templates by category, or open an empty canvas sized to your screen's orientation.
  2. Drag blocks onto the canvas

Add video, image, text, and live-data blocks (rates, tickers, menus) from the block palette, then resize and position each one.
  3. Layer, split, and refine

Use split_x and split_y to divide the screen into regions, reorder layers, and align blocks against the snap grid.
  4. Save and assign

Save the layout to your library, then assign it to one screen, a group, or a playlist. Edits to a saved layout re-stage automatically on every screen playing it.

Why does the layout builder matter?

  • No agency, no export-and-upload cycle

Build the screen in the browser and it is live the moment you publish, not exported from a design tool and re-uploaded.

  • One layout, every screen size

The same block canvas targets Android TV, Fire TV, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, and browser players without a separate build per platform.

  • Live data without a republish

Blocks like rate boards and tickers pull from a data channel, so a price change or a headline update shows up in seconds, not after you re-save the layout.

  • Reusable, not one-off

A saved layout is a library asset. Update it once and every screen and playlist that uses it updates with it.

Layout builder vs. a static slideshow

A layout is not a slide deck exported as images. A static slideshow plays the same frames in the same order until someone manually swaps the file on every screen. A CloudyFy TV layout is live: change a block’s content, publish, and the update reaches every assigned screen through the normal sync path, with no file to re-export and no USB stick to walk around with. Blocks that read from a data channel (rate boards, tickers, weather) update on their own between publishes, something a slideshow-based screen cannot do at all.

The proof: what's actually in the builder

The builder gives you 36 block types, and every one of them renders on a real screen. They cover the blocks real screens actually use: video, images, PDFs, GIFs, sliders, rich text, live data (rates, tokens, tickers, donor walls), calendars, and embedded web pages.
