RSS and Atom feeds on your digital signage screens
Connect an RSS or Atom feed and its headlines scroll across your screens through CloudyFy TV's live ticker, the same mechanism that drives rate boards, token queues, and alerts. Set it up once; new items appear on their own.
What does the RSS integration do?
It pulls headlines or items from an RSS or Atom feed and streams them into a scrolling ticker across your screens, so a news source, a company blog, or an announcements feed stays current without anyone retyping messages. RSS and Atom are both real, working providers on the Integrations screen, but the feed reaches the screen through CloudyFy TV's ticker data channel rather than a standalone RSS block, which is worth knowing before you build a layout around it. Being upfront about that distinction matters more here than on the other five integrations, because the difference between "the connection works" and "the block plays it" is exactly the kind of gap that leaves a customer staring at a blank strip on launch day if nobody explains it in advance.

What can you display from an RSS connection?
A scrolling line of headlines or short items, refreshed as the source feed publishes new ones, run as a strip along the top or bottom of a layout while other blocks fill the rest of the screen. It is the same ticker mechanism CloudyFy TV's jewellery rate boards and token-queue screens use for live data, so an RSS-fed ticker sits and performs consistently alongside those verticals if your business runs more than one. A branch office might run a company blog's RSS feed as a ticker under a lobby video; a bank branch might run a news feed under its token-queue display. Either way, the ticker is designed to be a supporting strip, not the reason someone stops to look at the screen.
How do you connect RSS to CloudyFy TV?
Five steps, with one detail that matters more here than on the other integrations. The RSS and Atom connections are data sources, and the Ticker block is what plays feed content on a screen.
Open Integrations and choose Add connection
Select RSS or Atom and enter your feed's URL
Test the connection to confirm CloudyFy TV can parse it
Open a layout and add a Ticker block, not the RSS block, then point it at your connection
Publish the layout to the screens or groups you want it on
What you need to use the RSS integration
Plan
Included on Starter, Standard, and Pro, and during your 7-day free trial.
Permissions
A role with the Integrations module enabled, the same one that covers every other live connection on the account.
Data flow
CloudyFy TV polls your feed on a regular schedule and pushes new items to connected screens over the same live data channel used for rate boards and token queues, so an update reaches a screen in roughly the time any other live data change takes, not on the next full republish.
